Jeff is a 1985 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. Armed with a BFA in Communication Arts and Design, he and two classmates founded KINETIK in 1988. Whether working with the design team to evaluate, critique and develop unique solutions or sharing his vision and insight with clients, Jeff consistently brings innovative creativity and solid business sense together. Intensive, research-based strategy development forms the foundation for the award-winning body of work Jeff oversees, which includes complex, detailed and innovative print solutions and interactive digital productions.

Sam earned a BFA in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1985 and then together with two classmates, he founded KINETIK. Since 1988, Sam has led KINETIK through the day-to-day creative challenges faced in a typical design studio. His strong belief in the power of design helps steer KINETIK’s path in a changing world, and his passion shows in the projects he directs as well as his commitment to design education and AIGA—the professional association for design. In 2006, Sam was presented with the AIGA Fellow award, recognizing his significant contributions as a leader in the design community.

Scott began working at KINETIK as a college intern in 1994. After receiving his BFA in Graphic Design from the Corcoran College of Art + Design the next year, he joined the KINETIK team full time. As senior designer, Scott’s thoughtful, steady nature and patient dedication have earned him the admiration and respect of clients and colleagues alike. His conceptual approach to design combined with a practiced sketching ability enables him to visualize solutions quickly and effectively. An expert in branding, systems and publications design in both the print and digital worlds, Scott’s work is packed with meaning and elegance.

A native of Austin, Texas, Joanna turned a freelance gig with KINETIK into a full-time position shortly after earning a BFA in Graphic Design from the Corcoran College of Art + Design in 2007. Inspired by simplicity and innovation, she brings thoughtfulness and articulate reasoning to all her designs. Creative and resourceful, Joanna is a master at managing voluminous and detailed projects—from large, data-centric publications to image-rich websites with complex taxonomy. Outside of KINETIK, Joanna designs jewelry, books and clothing for the Alliance for Lupus Research Walk for the Cure, a cause she believes in.

Jackie has been an integral part of KINETIK’s success as our finance manager since 2000. She has an extensive background in bookkeeping, finance protocols, and office management. Jackie brings her attention to detail and pleasant disposition to all that she manages on a daily basis in support of the design team and KINETIK’s clients. She is responsible for time and cost capture and billing for all active jobs in the studio as well as grant management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and oversight of office operations.
